At Slate, we believe in quality over quantity. One exceptional campaign will have a greater impact than ten so-so banner ads and commercials. We believe in collaboration. While we’re experts at what we do, you know your company better than we ever will. We want to work with you, not for you. And most of all, we believe in story. Every person, brand and product has a story to tell, and we’re here to help you tell it.

Let’s get started, shall we?

You have a story to share, and we’re here to help you tell it. Through continuous, collaborative conversation, we’ll help you uncover your vision and goals, creating a workable framework for each project we undertake.

We distill our conversations with you into an intentional and motivated narrative across platforms. Smart aesthetic is part of your story’s development, so we create a look and tone that helps further achieve your goals.

Our projects don’t stop at delivery. We continue to work alongside our clients to refine and reconstruct campaigns over the years, guaranteeing that you always realize your potential and execute your vision.

Which do you remember more—your favorite line from Casablanca or the About page from the last website you visited? Images, motion and sound are the most tangible way for you to tell your brand’s story. They provide a way to visually show people who you are, let them hear your message and allow the words to sink in. Production grabs your clients’ attention and keeps it there. We’re here to help you tell your brand’s story in a way that will get you noticed, that will last. “Here’s looking at you, kid.”

Identity—Your brand is so much more than a name and a logo, it’s an overarching story of who you are. It’s those intangible pieces—the colors you use, the tone of your copy, the fonts that you choose and the way that they make your audience feel—that cause people to notice and remember you. It’s the combination of the concrete and ineffable that give your brand an identity.

Interactive—We live in an age of constant connectivity and interaction, and it is absolutely necessary for brands to be present and active across platforms. But that can be daunting. How do you get people to notice your website? How often should you send out a tweet? What level of transparency should you put forth? There’s a lot of ground to cover when it comes to digital interaction. Fortunately, we’re here to map it out for you.

Chris Behnen

The Coen brothers are Chris’ greatest inspiration, and he believes you can never see A Serious Man too many times. He’s an outdoorsman at heart and spends his happiest days water skiing and camping. With a newfound love for reading, he’s stretching his creative mind with the classics, reveling in the adventures of Hemingway, McCarthy and Rowling.

Jake LeVoir

A whiskey guy, taking his drinks strong, with three cubes, two fingers and a splash of water. The first time Jake saw The Gladiator he fell in love. And speaking of love, there’s nothing he loves more than a day on Lake Minnetonka, soaking up the sun.

Kyle Ketler

If he weren’t a designer, Kyle would be a rally car driver. But he’s not. He believes minimal, clean design is the best design, looking to the likes of Paul Rand and Dieter Rams for inspiration. A beer snob, and proud of it, he can’t get enough of that wonderful Surly Furious.

Slate has been a pleasure to work with. The quality of their videos is excellent and we can always rely on receiving a wonderful end product in a short amount of time. They are professional, flexible, and offer up great ideas to their clients when asked. Thanks for all of your work!
